Solution Architect, High Tech - Redwood City, CA

Model N is looking for a Solution Architect responsible for Model N’s High Tech Revenue Management solution, integration technologies, and client configurations.  He/she will develop the solution by designing the application solution, providing alternative solutions, and communicating with Professional Services development and engineering on technical interfaces and integration specifications, both generically for use by clients, partners, and client services personnel, and for specific client implementations. 

Responsibilities:

• Provide application and project expertise throughout the client implementation


• Provide client product and business feedback to marketing and engineering


• Facilitate the system requirements gathering sessions, including process mapping and improvement


• Overall ownership of the implementation design strategy and tasks


• Develop and manage project plan to ensure timely completion of implementation


• Overall ownership of completion of all implementation tasks


• Coach and guide team members to complete tasks and project deliverables


• Act as primary source for communication of project information and own the project plan


• Resolve conflicts related to schedule, solution, and team performance


• Create client confidence in the Professional Services team and in Model N

Qualifications:

• Minimum three years developing large-scale, object-oriented systems


• Minimum eight years design experience with interfaces and integration


• Business modeling/system design in e-business applications and/or transaction-based systems (order management, quoting, etc.)


• Experience with standards-based integration technologies (e.g. XML, RosettaNet, Microsoft.net, EDI, SAP BAPI, API’s, RMI, etc.)


• Strong written and oral communication skills including ability to produce design documentation, technical white papers, and briefings


• Strong organizational, team, and leadership skills


• Technical consulting background a plus


• Oracle expertise (data warehousing, replication, archiving) a plus


• Java, HTML, JavaScript, SQL knowledge


• Strong knowledge of a major ERP environment (SAP, Oracle, etc.)


• Minimum BS in Computer Science or equivalent required
